Sinopse:
O jogador assume o papel de um soldado espacial ( seu nome nunca é revelado, sendo popularizado como “Doomguy” ) que foi enviado para o planeta Marte, onde está localizado uma base da UAC, uma organização militar que realiza experiências de teletransporte entre as duas luas de Marte, conhecidas como Phobos e Deimos. até que algo dá errado na experiência, fazendo a lua Deimos desaparecer misteriosamente, logo depois, um portal se abre e começa a mandar várias criaturas vindas do inferno que começam a invadir a base e atacar vários cientistas. uma equipe de soldados é enviada para deter a invasão, mas falham miseravelmente e a estação é rapidamente dominada por demônios, com todos soldados e cientistas mortos ou transformados em zumbis. apenas um permanece vivo: o soldado controlado pelo jogador, cuja tarefa agora é escapar da estação com vida.
Synopsis:
The player assumes the role of a space mariner ( his name is never revealed, being popularized as “Doomguy” ) who was sent to the planet Mars, where is located a base from the UAC, a military organization which realizes experiences of teletransporting between the both moons of the Mars, known as Phobos and Deimos. however, something goes wrong in the experience, the moon Deimos had disappeared mysteriously and then a portal is opened and begins to send a lot of creatures coming from Hell which attack the base and kill several scientists. an equip of mariners is sent there to stop the invasion, but they fail and the base now is overrun by demons, with all the scientists and soldiers dead and turned into zombies. just one person remains alive: the mariner controlled by the player, and now his objective is escape from the base alive.
